Candidate Interview Email Reminders for Bookings & Booking Requests

Make sure your candidates never miss a Booking interview by sending reminder emails.

Prelude's Candidate Interview Reminders feature ensures that your candidates never miss a meeting! This article will cover Candidate Interview Reminders sent through email for Bookings and Booking Requests interviews.

How do Candidate Interview Reminders work for Bookings and Booking Requests?

Once you've set up candidate reminders for your Booking or Booking Request, any candidate who has scheduled an interview time will receive the designated reminder email(s) at the time interval(s) you've set.

For example, if you set the time interval to 24 hours and the candidate has booked a meeting on Tuesday, 2/7 at 1:00 PM EST, they will receive the reminder email on Monday, 2/6 at 1:00 PM EST.

Reminders can be customized to include any and all information you wish to share with the candidate. This is a useful way to ensure that your candidate hasn't forgotten about their meeting, and has everything they need to be prepared.

📝 Note: Candidate Reminders do update dynamically when interview changes are made. We recommend making all interview changes through Prelude, rather than on your calendar.


Reminder Setup

Adding Candidate Interview Reminders to Bookings and Booking Requests

Start by creating a new Booking or Booking Request, or open an existing one from the Bookings or Requests tab.

Once you've opened your Booking or Booking Request, navigate to Candidate Reminders, then click Add Reminder.

For Bookings, you'll find Candidate Reminders on the lefthand side:

For Booking Requests, you'll scroll down to the Candidate Reminders section:

You can now apply an email template to your reminder, or create an email from scratch.

Select your chosen template (if using). Then, be sure to set the time window for your reminder and adjust the recipients, subject line, and email body as needed.

Click Save if you’re done, or click Add reminder if you’d like to set up an additional reminder for the Booking.

Once you’ve saved your reminder(s), you can finish setting up your Booking or Booking Request. Any candidate who schedules time using that link going forward will receive reminders for their scheduled meeting.

Adding Candidate Interview Reminders to Booking Request Templates

If you'd like to build candidate reminders into your normal Booking flow, you can add reminders to your Booking Request Templates. This way, your reminder settings will auto-populate each time you apply a template to your Booking Request.

Start by navigating to Settings > Templates > Requests > Request Setup. Create a new template, or open an existing template that you'd like to edit.

Scroll to the Candidate Reminders section and click Add Reminder.

You can now apply an email template to your reminder, or create an email from scratch.

Select your chosen template (if using). Then, be sure to set the time window for your reminder and adjust the recipients, subject line, and email body as needed.

Click Add reminder if you’d like to set up an additional reminder for the Booking Request Template. When you're done, click Create (if creating a new template), or Update (if editing an existing template).
